As the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day approached, to effectively ensure work safety during the holiday period and prevent all types of safety accidents, Zhang Yuming, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Xingtai Iron and Steel, recently visited the frontline production sites to guide work. He conducted research on the full-scale pre-holiday safety inspections carried out by all secondary units of the company and the progress of the 43 "Hundred-Day Accident-Free Safety" campaigns. At each stop, he conducted in-depth inspections of production organization, stable equipment operation, in-process quality control and the implementation of safety responsibility systems, while earnestly listening to the opinions and work suggestions of frontline employees.
He emphasized: Safety is no trivial matter! Safety is always the bottom line and red line of work. This work must be carried out in a down-to-earth manner, rooted in the workplace, with rigorous management and the courage to uphold principles. All problems stem from management; the root cause of any incident lies in flawed management. In daily work, we must start from the trivial details, adopt a problem-oriented approach, identify and eliminate all types of potential safety hazards, and nip risks in the bud. We must strictly implement the work safety responsibility system, and promote the in-depth implementation of all work safety initiatives in a regular and long-term manner.
He pointed out that the periods before and after holidays are relatively vulnerable phases for safety management. All employees must overcome complacency, and managers at all levels must further strengthen their responsibilities and enhance emergency duty arrangements. All workshops should take the pre-holiday safety education and safety inspections as an opportunity to make safety concepts deeply rooted in the minds of every employee, continuously consolidate the foundation of safety management, and provide solid safeguards for the high-quality development of the enterprise and the peaceful celebration of the double festival by all staff.
