Successful Furnace Baking of the Large Coil Heating Furnace for Xingsteel's Relocation Project

"In 1999, the first high-speed wire production line of Xingsteel's old plant was ignited; after 26 years of trials and tribulations, in 2025, the first large coil heating furnace of the new plant in Weixian County is lit. The torch is passed on, and the craftsmanship endures. The roaring flames blazing at this moment are like a symbol of nirvana and rebirth, marking a brand-new journey." On November 18, the ignition and furnace baking ceremony of the heating furnace for the steel rolling large coil production line under Xingsteel's relocation, upgrading and renovation project was successfully held. The flame from Xingsteel's old plant was transferred to the new plant in Weixian County, marking the start of hot commissioning of the key equipment of the large coil production line—a crucial milestone before the commissioning of the large coil workshop. It is expected that the large coil production line will enter the trial production phase by the end of December.
At 8:08, the heritage flame symbolizing Xingsteel's enterprise spirit of "Striving for Excellence, Precision and Pragmatism" was successfully collected at the No.5 Wire Workshop of the Wire Rod Plant. Later, the flame was escorted by Kong Lingbo, Director of the Wire Rod Plant, to the new plant over 100 kilometers away by vehicle, completing the torch relay. At 11:08, Zhang Yuming, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Xingsteel, personally lit the furnace-baking torch. As the flames roared to life in the furnace, the ignition of the large coil heating furnace for Xingsteel's steel rolling production line was successfully accomplished.
"What we have lit is not just the furnace fire, but also the enduring technical torch passed down among Xingsteel people. This flame embodies Xingsteel's commitment to quality and pursuit of innovation," stated Chairman Zhang Yuming. He pointed out that this furnace baking marks the official launch of hot commissioning for key facilities, bringing the new plant's large coil production line one step closer to trial production. He urged all participating construction units and employees to maintain high morale, keep the year-end trial production target firmly in sight, carry out furnace baking and commissioning with rigorous attitude, advance equipment installation with solid work style, achieve new accomplishments at the new plant, and steadily stride toward the goal of becoming a "world-class innovative leading enterprise specializing in special steel".
As a flagship product of Xingsteel, the large coil steel rolling production line is equipped with internationally advanced equipment such as KOCKS three-roll reducing and sizing mill and the latest-generation coiler. It adopts a number of cutting-edge technologies including intelligent heating, thermomechanical rolling, controlled rolling and cooling, and new-type coil conveying system. These ensure that Xingsteel's high-end products such as Φ16-52mm cold heading steel, high-grade bearing steel and premium spring steel fully meet world advanced standards in terms of process energy consumption, dimensional accuracy and performance quality, further consolidating Xingsteel's large coil products as a prestigious "golden brand" in the industry.
More than 200 participants attended the furnace baking ceremony, including competent leaders and relevant department heads of Xingtai City and Weixian County, representatives of participating construction units such as MCC South, MCC5, MCC Capital Engineering & Research Incorporation Limited and MCC2, as well as employee representatives of Xingsteel.
